Cod Fish Dinner
For seventy years, St Peder’s has invited the community to dinner on the first Friday of March to enjoy a traditional Danish meal of codfish with mustard gravy – or, if you aren’t a fish fan, meatballs with gravy. There are two seatings at 5 & 6:30 p.m. and reservations are required. In addition to great food, you’ll enjoy great company and a delightful evening around the dinner table!
Fair Trade Event
A recent addition to our annual events, this is an opportunity to purchase fair-trade items that are from various places across the globe. Global treats are also served and it’s a festive occasion you won’t want to miss. It is typically held the first Sunday in May.
Held the third Sunday of September, we gather for one worship service followed by lunch as we celebrate a kind of “homecoming” and prepare for another year of faith formation opportunities.
When the Twin Cities Marathon is run on the first Sunday of October, the 16-mile mark is just down the street from St Peder’s. So, we offer our brand of hospitality to those who come to cheer on the runners: coffee and treats are served outside our front door – and our restrooms are available for use! Rain or shine, we’ll be there to welcome you.
On the second Sunday of November, the traditional Danish pancakes (that are round like mini donuts and are called “aebleskive”) are made fresh in our kitchen and served with homemade strawberry jam. It’s a heavenly breakfast! Come and join us…
On the third Sunday in December, St. Peder’s hosts a special Song Service Worship, followed by a lively reception with kringle, sparkling punch, and dancing around the Christmas tree–a special Danish tradition.
