Lent 2016: Climate Change & Creation Sunday Series
Climate Change: A Sunday Lenten Series
In this season of reflection, it is appropriate to spend some time exploring climate change and what it means for all of creation – including how we live in our world.
This year, our Sunday morning schedule will be different during the five weeks of Lent. We’ll have one worship service at 9:00 a.m., followed by a time for coffee and conversation. Then, we’ll re-convene to the sanctuary at 10:15 am by a speaker on the topic with time for questions and answers. (See the February Messenger for full details on the schedule and speakers) There will also be activities for kids available each week. (Confirmation and high-school youth are encouraged to attend the series.)
Here is our schedule of speakers and their topics:
Feb 14: Paris Global Climate Agreement – Claire Curran & Trevor Leuzinger, MN Interfaith Power & Light
Feb 21: The Science of Climate Change – Dr. Mark Boslough, Physicist, Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque
