Welcome to Worship at St. Peder’s
-LARGE PRINT and Braille Bulletins are available, please see an usher for these resources.
-You will find everything you need to participate in worship on the following pages.
-Please note that we invite congregational participation on the parts printed in bold.

Rooted in our heritage and embracing the future, we joyfully live the gospel with open hearts, open hands, and open doors. St. Peder’s is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA); and a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation, explicitly affirming the welcome of God to all persons regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, physical or mental ability.

Children are welcome in worship at St. Peder’s: Activity bags are available in the entrance hall. Children are also welcome in the nursery. The nursery space is near the parking lot door down the stairs.

COVID Safety continues to be on our minds. Due to the rise in the Delta variant and recommendations by health officials, St. Peder’s asks that all people resume wearing masks inside St. Peder’s and social distance as able. Fully vaccinated people can continue to forgo masks outside given their own comfort levels.   We ask that you continue to be respectful of one another’s level of comfort for close contact and be prepared to wear a mask around children and those who are more comfortable remaining masked.

Our Worship schedule offers opportunities to worship in person or online.  In October we plan to move worship indoors, meeting weekly, and request everyone wear a mask.  For those who don’t join us in person, a recording of the worship service will be made available on St Peder’s YouTube channel Sunday afternoon.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and ALL are welcome to participate in this tangible gift of God’s grace. For those who chose not to receive Communion please come forward for a blessing. If you would prefer to have Communion brought to you, please let the usher know and our Communion team will come to you. Holy Communion: The Lord’s table is open to all who wish to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. We commune the baptized at St Peder’s so there is no minimum age requirement. (Communion instruction is offered annually for children and parents.) As a gesture of hospitality, gluten-free wafers and grape juice are available in addition to traditional bread/wafers and wine.

Fellowship time is an opportunity to check-in with one another and care for members of our community. We encourage gathering on the patio outside for this opportunity to connect with each other.
